Editorial Review: Amazon.com: Kids' Favorite Songs kicks off with a cackle-worthy parody of Bob Dylan doing "Old McDonald," and from there the groovy gags keep comin' 'round the mountain. Everywhere Elmo turns on Sesame Street monsters spontaneously burst into song, and all because they want him to feature their favorite tunes on his forthcoming radio countdown. For Telly, winnowing the hits to one is akin to Cookie Monster choosing between a macaroon and a figgie bar: at first he's sure that "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" lights his fire, but then he says bye-bye to a black sheep. The street heaves a collective sigh pavementward when word comes down that the countdown is strictly a numbers gig, no music involved. Only Sesame Street could weave well-loved musical numbers around a simple numbers lesson with such wacky pizzazz, making this a countdown that's no letdown for high-spirited parent-preschooler combos. --Tammy La Gorce Customer Reviews

 Rating: - Good videoI bought it because my son loved part 2. The second one is better. If you have to choose, get Kids Favorite Songs 2. This one is good though. Rating:  - Kids favorite songs reviewThe family liked this enough that we bought it twice. Our first copy was a hit with our son when he was 1-2 years old then it was broken by a cousin. I bought it again for our daughter who is 2 and she also loves it. Rating: - A MUSTIt keeps the interest of my 18 month old. She really doesn't watch any videos and truly enjoys this one (plus Kid's Favorite Songs 2). The songs are great and she is learning the words to many of the songs. You will find her playing with her toys while singing these songs or making her own version of these songs. It's a must have. Rating: - Great DVD for singers/dancers!My daughter love this video. There are some real classic songs on here. It really keeps my daughter interested. Each character sings their favorite songs..all songs you and the kids know. Great buy! Rating: - great sesame street DVDMy two-year old loves s.street. This DVD is perfect. It has the usual cast of characters and focuses on classic songs (Ba Ba Black Sheep, Twinkle, Twinkle, etc.) Instead of just watching mindlessly, my girl sings along with the show. Also, the DVD is 30 minutes which I think is the perfect amount of time for that much needed break in the day (for the parent). |
