 Rating:  - DisappointedI wish I had read the reviews on this CD before I purchased it. I, too, was very disappointed because I wanted original recordings. On most of the songs, it's apparent they tried to re-create the song like the original, but some of my favorites were quite far from the original. Rating: - WAKE UP AMERICAReissues of Connie Francis hits are becoming a way of life but please, this is not a reissue of her original hits--it is her Malaco recordings from 1989 of WHERE THE HITS ARE. This too has been reissued to death. There is no end of great Connie Francis material to be released. Amercia look at Japan and South Africa for example. This is as bad as Bush trying to cover up phone tapping. But as I have said before, any Connie Francis product is better than none. How about being a little more original in the future. Take a chance! Her "Souvenirs" and "Italian Collections" were a bold step for this country and the results were fantastic. They're still in print. So Polydor/Universal get your feet wet, the water isn't that cold. You might be very surprised. ... Odd that there is no shortage of compilations by Connie Francis WITHOUT her known hits but rather songs that show a different side of her. This is a worthy effort though and I still enjoy my favorites, "A Second Hand Love" and "Together". Until something better comes along (don't hold your breath), I'm recommending this package. If you remember her many hits, you'll have to be happy with this came-close package for now.
