Editorial Review:
Amazon.com: Wow: The '90s serves up 30 of contemporary Christian music's biggest songs of the decade, including offerings from the obvious (Rich Mullins, Jaci Velasquez) to the downright mainstream (Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith) to a smattering of CCM's most recent wave of rock-inspired bands (DC Talk, Jars of Clay). As with its yearly predecessors, this collection concentrates on the highly polished fare of slick pop with "lifestyle" lyricism. This double-disc set also features Point of Grace's enthused 1996 hit "Keep the Candle Burning" and 1994's melodramatic "Crucified with Christ" by Phillips, Craig, and Dean, as well as work by superdiva Sandi Patti and 4Him. While Wow: The '90s is a boon for newbies to the genre, in playing it safe the set comes across a bit bland and will likely prove redundant for those whose collections already boast the selected artists. --Paige La Grone

It has the same flaw as the Gold collection - too many good songs & not enough to hold them all. PLUS they chose songs that I can only describe as "almost-but-not-quite" hits. There are better choices.
WOW should take CCM Magazine's year-end charts, and release a "top 20" review for every year from 1990 to 1999. That would be a far more satisfying (and accurate) review of the 1990s-era of Christian music.

I only wanted to write a review because this WOW was SO GREAT!!! It includes the best songs from the 90s on 2 discs! ALL of the songs were wonderful, but my particular favorites were . . .
- Keep the Candle Burning
- Awesome God
- People Get Ready
- Great Adventure
- That's What Love Is For
- Place In This World
- God Is In Control
- Shine
- Jesus Freak
- I Will Be Here For You
- Where There Is Faith
Believe me . . . those ARE certainly the best songs! I found this WOW one of my favorites, and I'm sure you will too once you buy it (which should be as soon as possible) - you will REALLY love it like I did!!

WOW the 90's is a great mix, I liked it from the moment I heard it. I has a great mix, from DC Talk to Steven Curtis Chapman. This CD is really awesom and is a must for any christian music lover.

I love the mix it gives, having several of my favorite songs all on 2 CD's. My friends and I jam to some, and calm to others. Definitely worth the price!
