 Rating:  - Extraordinary single disc compilation of one of the preeminent R & B outfits of all-time.It all began in the City of Angels in 1969 when the Chicago bred producer/songwriter/vocalist/percussionist Maurice White and his brother Verdine formed an R & B group that they dubbed Salty Peppers. Less than two years later the brothers hired a new band and added lead vocalist Philip Bailey to the mix. Thus was born Earth, Wind & Fire and as they say the rest is history. Over the next 18 years the group would amass an impressive total of 32 Top 100 records. "Earth Wind & Fire: Greatest Hits" is an impressive collection of 17 of the groups biggest and best hits from this period.
