Editorial Review:
Amazon.com: It takes a few listens to sink in, but on Aquemini, Outkast have pulled off a rare feat in hip-hop: they've made a good record that's a masterpiece of subtlety. What's more, it's their third record, and they've yet to fall into a rut--and that alone puts them in line for an award. The Organized Noize production crew is sublime, working with live musicians and crafting hook-filled soundscapes that complement Big Boi and Andre Benjamin's melodic patter. (See "Rosa Parks," "Chonkyfire," and the epic "Liberation," which features Erykah Badu, Cee Lo, and Big Rube--and clocks in at just under nine minutes.) Classy and intelligent, Outkast haven't sacrificed anything in their quest to make challenging, innovative hip-hop that forgoes idle boasting for the duo's message. A sample, from the title track: "Now, question: Is every nigga wit dreads for the cause? / Is every nigga wit golds for the fall? Naw / So don't get caught in appearance." --Randy Silver

this jumbly wombly babble is not really music, more angry poetry set to
the copy-cat unimaginative "same-old" cadence of modern rap music whose main message is always violent and anti-beauty and art. I did want to listen to it because someone recommended it..keep an open mind you know,
but I think music really needs to get past this stage. It's great as a musical experiment, but I'm hoping society can move forward into the
future with better genres than this. If everybody listens to this junk,
then our prisons will end up filled by the brainwashed.
(..but that's only my opinion, so please don't come shoot me.)
Have a nice day,.

this is some of the most brilliant manifestations of musicanship that i have ever heard. solely on the basis of this album, outkast has earned their future spot in the rock 'n roll hall of fame. these guys are top of the line r&b/rap/hip-hop scene. rosa parks, slump, return of the g, and spottieottiedopaliscious are my favs, but i can listen to the whole disc nonstop, and even end upon end sometimes. if you love hip hop in any form you should own this album.

I think this album is the best to come out in a long time.Big Boi and andre do it again. You gotta respect these guys for always coming up with fat beats with a positive message. Its definitely tighter than any old shoot em up slang the dope unoriginal gangster rap

WHEN I first listened to Outkast i thought they had very good lyrics. In so many words they are telling about the world and how it has been for so many people. We all need to listen to Outkast and realize what point they are trying to make. Most of all I feel I can relate to Outkast because it takes time and listening to understand about drugs and killing and most of all our children!!!
