 Rating:  - Mom of 3 boys3 weeks ago my son asked me to find a song for the Mother/Groom dance for their upcoming wedding. I googled mother/son dance songs and a bunch of different songs popped up. I needed the words to be right and say what I am feeling as he is getting married. I knew when I read the lyrics this was it!!Short, sweet, simple and very sincere. The country version,to me, is the best. I have two other sons and this will be the song for them too. My son's wedding was two days ago, and my husband had been tear-free at the wedding until this song/dance. Aunts, cousins, friends kept asking where did I find this song!! It was perfect. Rating:  - The sap runneth overWow! This song is by far the worst wedding song I have ever heard. It is so sappy it makes me cringe. I'm not saying she has a bad voice, or the lyrics are bad...but it sounds like some kids CD from the 80's. My fiance loves Slipknot. Both the country and the traditional make a mother's dance with her son on his wedding day as special as the father's dance with his daughter. Thank you. We did get a second dance and the DJ announced that this song was to my son from me. It was wonderful! Thanks for having it. Rating: - PerfectThis is the perfect song for my son Andrew up comming wedding @ 3:45 6-7-08...get it? 345678! I cried the first time I herd it and have shared the song with close family and friends, they are all ready asking to borrow the CD! Great choice for any mom to dance to. I personally like the original version of the song the country version on track #2 was a little to twangy for me. To all mom's, this is perfect. |
