The movie The Commitments was about a group singing some of the greatest R & B/Motown songs of all time. Here you get those all those fantastic song on one CD, except instead of covers of the originals, you get the originals-- sung by the greats themselves. Truly Incredible... Rating: - BUYING IT AGAINI BOUGHT THIS CD ON CASSETTE WITH THE 2 SOUNDTRACK ALBUMS WHEN THE MOVIE CAME OUT. WHILE WATCHING THE MOVIE ON CABLE THE OTHER NIGHT, I REALIZED THAT I NOW HAVE BOTH SOUNDTRACKS ON CD BUT DON'T HAVE THIS GEM TOO. I PROMPTLY DUG OUT THE CASSETTE AND TRIED TO FIND IT ON AMAZON.COM. TO MY DISMAY, IT WASN'T ANYWHERE TO BE FOUND. BEING PERSISTANT, I FOUND THAT THE TITLE HAS BEEN CHANGED (AS WELL AS SHORTENED) AND WAS AVAILABLE. I IMMEDIATELY ORDERED IT TO ADD TO MY COLLECTION AS SHOULD ANYONE ELSE WHO LOVED THE MUSIC FROM THE MOVIE OR THAT ERA. DON'T LET THIS ONE GET AWAY LIKE I ALMOST DID.
