Editorial Review:
Amazon.com: The album's title is Tribute, but it just as easily could be called Spectacle. Everything here is done on a grand scale, from its ambitious staging areas (the Taj Mahal and China's Forbidden City re-creations) to its large gathering of instrumentalists (more than two dozen) to the histrionics of two impassioned vocalists on a pair of the album's 11 tracks. The only thing missing seems to be the maestro himself--so submerged is the visionary-keyboardist in the mix. The musician showcased most often on Tribute turns out to be energetic violinist Karen Briggs, a familiar figure by now to all who have watched Yanni's global ramblings on television. The compositions and arrangements, it seems, are intended to be the stars as Yanni lives out his Beethoven-like dream sequence. Stylistically, the music ranges from urban smooth jazz to earnest orchestral sweeps. A grand concept, but not an entirely great result. --Terry Wood

I'm blown away, this is one, if not THE best CD I have at home. I have listened to it hundreds of times. Truely.

I think this is one of the best CDs I own. This was probably one of the best purchases I've ever made.

While flipping through television channels one Sunday evening back in 1994, I stopped at PBS. Intriqued by the set, which was in Greece, I watched a long-haired good looking man playing the keyboard, backed by a huge orchestra. The song grabbed my attention, and I became a Yanni fan
forever. TRIBUTE has a terrific collection of songs, including RENEGADE and NIGHTENGALE. There is a nice balance of material. By the way, the PBS show was YANNI at the Acroplis, and the song----STANDING IN MOTION. I have also seen Yanni in concert in Vegas, 4 times, and hope he returns to Las Vegas soon.

Yanni is a great composer, sexy musician and the best piano player I know.
I heard people saying "Music" is "Divine"...and his composition is one of the best examples for that.
I don't know who Yanni was, until I watched his live concert at Taj Mahal on TV. I was very disappointed with myself, because I came to know about him so lately, and I missed his inspirational music all these days.
After that I started listening to his other collections and believe me each and every composition is a gem.
I gave four rating, because a person of his caliber will definitely make his next performance best than earlier one.
And last but not least, hats off to his fellow performers and orchestral ... Read More:

First of all, I will say Yanni's music seems fascinating for me. He is not only a fantastic composer and a virtuoso player. His arrangements are incredible and his shows are unique and spectacular.
Like this. This disc has all I've said before. So, why doesn't have the full five stars? There are a few reasons.
When you have listened to all Yanni's dics you can see he has done a lot of remasterings, concerts and compilations. This disc has almost all-new material, excepting for a new version of classic "Niki Nana". Things begin to come worse...
"Deliverance", "Renegade", "Waltz in 7/8" and even "Love is All" are great songs as many of the disc. I pointed aut "Love is All" is a good song. It has great lyrics and ... Read More:
