 Rating: - Underrated but fantastic album!I had never listened to this album before a couple days ago: well, it's one of the finest jazz works I've ever heard. Well played, with Barron in outstanding shape. I discovered a "never heard before" barron on electric piano, in a early-seventies style. Don't miss it. And forgive my English... Rating: - well balanced classicThis album is simply fantastic. Two ballads, one on solo piano. Two medium tempo latin/fusion-ish tunes. One hard groove. One up tempo blues, REALLY up, like 300 bpm or so. This album is one of the best that I've ever heard from Kenny. He switches between electric and acoustic piano throughout the disc. There's a lot of percussion in the latin and groove tunes. As far as I can remember, Kenny is the only soloist throughout. There might be some small-time filler from the other guys, but this album is definitely a showcase for Barron's ridiculous chops. Don't get this copy, spend the extra 6 bucks and buy "Soft Spoken Here" on the 32 jazz label, which is two discs and two albums- this one and another straight ahead album. Both are remastered ...
