 Rating:  - "But my love is alive..."Madonna - The Girlie Show (Live Down Under) is a daring and passionate live performance from the Queen of Pop. My fave performances from this conert include: Justify My Love, Vogue, Rain, Like A Virgin, Deeper and Deeper, In This Life, and Everybody. Madonna really lets loose and has a blast on every song, only this magnificent woman can get a way with half of the these she does, amazing! Everybody Is A Star/Everybody Rating: - She Gives Me FeverThis may not be Madonna's best tour, (after all, at that time how could she top Blond Ambition?) but The Girlie Show was certainly full of eye popping routines. My favorite performance is Fever, she really gets into it and looks amazing in her short boyish haircut. But even though this tour had great songs and scenery, my favorite thing about the Girlie Show is that Madonna is a non stop smiling machine. She is known for being a tough diva, and if you see any other tour it takes alot for her to crack a smile. Perhaps the vibe was amazing on this tour, after all the tour had "Erotica" and Sex Book undertones,not to mention she was touring in cities she had never toured before. Madonna is simply gorgeous in this tour. She practically glows in ... Read More: Rating:  - Not the best, but gotta love herMadonna has improved her perfomances considerably since this Tour. I absolutely love the beginning-who else can have a naked woman writhing down a pole other than M. Much of the rest of the show is very cheesy though, especially "Like A Virgin" - one of the worst ways she's ever presented it. I still love Madonna though. Just start with a different tour to watch. It's always great to see the progression of a great artist. Rating: - good but.... it was a shamne that i didn't know that it was a US format DVD which can't be played in my region!! |
