I liked this album more than her next one (the reminder) because it sounded more true to Fiest to me. The reminder has just a touch of commercial that seems too coated, too polished, trying to appeal to sales..? Listening to "Let It Die" on the other hand disarms me.

I wasn't expecting much from this release from HMS, but I really must say it is a great, great album!!. The production is excelent and the songs are really good. Makes me remember their first two cds.

This is a wonderful compilation of some of his best-loved songs, and I find it common for me to just play it over and over again,ad nauseum. I was a teenager in the 60's and didn't really pay much attention to him during those early years, but somehow the truth, magic and wonder of this man's incredible talent grew on me and its clear to see that it just shines through the plethora of artists who have come and gone over the years. His songs such as 'Stay Loose' and 'Ribbon of Darkness'(not on this album) are so powerful , they helped me feel, and understand the depth of pain and the eventual recovery of a tragic period in my life when my marriage failed. Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere

I love many othe Neil Young albums ...... but not like this one, the classic of classics.

It is sooooo "rusty" and "raw" emotionally and musically and so "pure" from the heart.

The band is so tight, Neil;s voice on this still gives me goose bumps. The rawness that just cuts you up.

Cinnamon Girl - Opens up the album with those wonderous guitar. Tremendous power in them licks, from the gut. I can hear that song 1000 times in a row.

Then we have this country, folk stuff added with Cowgirl and Down By The River. Cowgirl my favorite and after years and years, never board of that long solo that kills with that unique power, passion and "roughness" of that solo tat is so interesting. So ... Read More:

I know that people have their negative opinions of Celine, and I have some to as I am only a moderate fan. However, I must say that this album is thoroughly enjoyable. Christmas albums are often dismissed as just a safe piece of product to earn some cash. While this album is pretty safe (like most of Celine's releases), it's supposed to be for enjoyment around the holidays and Christmas albums are supposed to be light. Her voice and her style of music work well for the seasonal genre. Standout tracks include:

"Don't Save It All For Christmas Day" - an original Christmas ballad about showing love all year round, and not just on Christmas.
