This is a awesome original of the 2nd album from the girls. Their simplicity in their lyrics seem to hit home and you can apply at least 1 song to your life right now. They amaze me with their creativity and every day when I put this Cd in my stereo, its like a warm blanket. It has been great seeing them come from under feet like ours to So Jealous, This is a perfect mix inbetween their old and new. Their lyrics captivate you.....

this cd grace under pressure is a turning point in what some might call sell out, while others consider this cd the most am radio friendly cd to date. while still keeping the concepts of story cds rush is able to conquer the am waves with 6 hits off this cd alone, and yet not dealing with 6-8 minutes songs I have no problems in listening to this cd, in fact i turn this cd on at times to drown out the news as they are so true in this cd along with the videos they recorded ( not aviable with cd) that they forecasted what the world is at right now.

I've been a fan of Tegan and Sara since their first album, Under Feet Like Ours. I've followed them through This Business of Art, If It Was You, and now onto So Jealous. With each release Tegan and Sara have taken things to a new and different level. So Jealous has such a great mix of slower songs for a quiet night, and songs that you just can't help but move your body to.
For me, Tegan and Sara are one of the best bands that you've never heard before, and this album takes them one step closer to being an album that everyone is talking about. Their live shows are equally as impressive as their album, and if you have the chance, you should definitey pick up a ticket when they are in your area!

I recently read an absolutely wonderful review of this album by "Wolfie". See; I even remember the name. I was so stirred by his evocotive musings on the times when this album came out that I actually wrote a comment praising the review and his writing while bemoaning the state of things today. Just now I was going to show the review and my comments to a friend and Lo! It's gone! The review is no longer there!! It and my comments no longer exist. I scrolled through 9 pages twice and IT IS GONE!Is it possible that it was removed as being inappropriate?! That's the only thing I can think of. Because if that's the case I'm signing off from this idiot-fest for the last time. I can understand something overly vulgar being removed for the sake of our ever-fragile ... Read More:

This Stars album just captivated me from the very first time the melodies started emanating from my speakers. It just sucked me in and wrapped around me like a warm fuzzy blanket. And I'm not joking, it was almost magical. I could feel the rhythms take hold right away and send me on an awe-inspiring journey. It's all pop perfection, but unique and challenging enough to separate itself from the rest of the mainstream drivel and mediocrity out there today. The opening track sets the mood, and it definitely doesn't stop there. Almost every song is upbeat and dreamy, ringing out youthful wonder and optimism. Especially with songs like Ageless Beauty, Amy's vocals and the instrumentation hearken back the era of Lush, a band that sadly ended way before its time. But ... Read More:

All things considered, I thought I had heard the last of any new releases by Kim Mitchell with 'Kimosabe'. Changing musical tastes, Radio and Record companies deciding that you're just past the marketable Demographic age to matter, combined with some personal issues left Kim to slide off our musical radar for a while. Oh, he was still doing summer tours, and slid into a gig on the other side of the mic on radio, and even, rumour has it, was giving guitar lessons ( DAMN what classes they must have been!) But, someone must have finally put a bee in Kim's baseball cap that 8 years really was too long to sit on the shelf, so in the Summer of '07 we get ' Ain't Life Amazing', and all I can say is ' Bout Time!. First off, this is the LOUDEST Kim Mitchell Disc I've heard, ... Read More:

A whole bunch of people are complaning that this cd isn't as good as Greyest of Blue Skies. While that is sadly true, that doesn't mean that it is a worthless peice of trash.
Just because Paralyzer sounds different than their previous material doesn't mean it's bad, you should give this album a chance. It isn't perfect, but it sure isn't unlistenable.

This is not just a remake of the original Trinity Sessions. It is a much more elaborate production, but still recorded in the "circle" format, although everyone is individually miked (only one mike in the original). Extra players/singers Ryan Adams, Natalie Merchant and Vic Chesnutt add a lot. I particularly like Natalie's duet with Margo on Misguided Angel. Can't get it out of my head.
This is a two-disk package, although you would hardly know it from the promo here -- it's only in the details and the product description, otherwise it looks like just a CD. The DVD is absolutely great, and the 5.1 audio is very very special. Both visual and audio quality is very high on the base recording, and the extras (a documentary especially) are very interesting, and shows ... Read More:
