this cd is awesome! if u love simple plan i definately recommend u to buy this cd. they have really grown up since their first cd. i have to admit i didnt like this record at all when i first heard it. but i came to realize that is was amazing. they have changed their style a little bit but u still have the same feeling u get when u listen to them. if they had the same sound on every record u would probly get tired of them. i am still completely in love with them and u should listen to them. they rock!

After being stunned by the genious in Cohens first greatest hits, I had to pick this one up to see what other greats he had out there. Big mistake. This music has no structure and no raw emotion like his older works. Even the lyrics are pretty tame compared to earlier work. Obviously musicians change over the years but this sounds like something you would hear down at an Atlantic City lounge, but with a terribly weak singer. Having a band is a waste of time, most of this music sounds like it could have been generated by a cheesy synth.
I will continue to hunt down the old greats but this is just Elvis later years wish wash with nothing thought provoking except what happened over the years.

I've listened to my wife's copy, and after listening to this pile of whatever you want to call it, all I can say is ugh! First of all, it pretty much sounds like any other Celine Dion CD, and even they all pretty much sound like each other. And "Taking Chances"? Talk about playing it safe! Her version of "Alone" sounds like she swiped the backing track and sang karaoke to it! Why bother doing a cover tune when it sounds so much like the original? Maybe it's just me, but I don't get it. The backing music on this CD, as on the rest of her CDs, is so generic that it could've been made by anyone - it has absolutely no personality. Her music has no identifiable sound whatsoever! Martha Wainwright

I've loved this album from first listen. Martha's wonderfully supple voice mates well with an excellent set of songs. Family dynamics show up (as they do in most of the Wainwright/McGarrigle canon) in the brilliant BMFA, an ode to (perhaps transient) father hatred. But Loudon started it. This is an excellent recording, and if there was justice in the world Martha would sell more than Rufus.

Hard to believe it has been 10 yrs since I drove through a snowstorm for two hours in Western NY to see them. A wonderful family blend that keeps you listening. The new tunes are great and I miss seeing them in the US...

Release the Stars is probably Rufus' best album to date.

Luciano Pavarotti: Christmas at Notre Dame

Here you see Pavarotti at his best in a great Christmas Special! The magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral in Montréal provides a wonderful background for this concert. I only wish the producers made some effort to improve the video to the DVD quality.
In the end, Pavarotti's superb performance easily makes-up for the video quality.
Get this DVD - you'll enjoy it Christmas after Christmas!

Her first CD "This Is Me", earned her the opening spot on the Black Eyed Peas' Canadian tour.
This, in turn, led to a creative collaboration with BEP drummer Keith Harris, who produced her even more confident new album, "Revival".
For those who dont know, Jully Black is a 29 Years Old Jamaican RnB artist out of Toronto.
The CD from comes full of feeling and vibe...if you like soul, funky jazzy this is one of the best releases of the moment...
When I first listened to the album I couldn't believe in the fantastic voice that she manages to put!!
I' m trying to imagine her on a live performance.
Words aren't enough.....buy it.....listen to it till your hears get fed up of it.
