What surprised me most about Kanye's new album is not how much I initially liked it, but ultimately how much I ended up loving it with repeated listens. Still, it must be said : 808s & Heartbreak will definitely divide fans-- auto-tune will immediately turn people off, and many will yearn for his distinguished usage of sped-up soul samples. But those of us who look past his traditions and conventions may find something hauntingly tragic and beautiful. Personally, I think 808's & Heartbreak is a full-blown masterpiece based on love, loss, and heartbreak-- capturing dark aspects of life that essentially everyone can relate to. You know how some girls like the bad boy types? Well this little nugget appeals to all types of girls & boys alike! I haven't been a HUGE fan of KID ROCK's but when I heard AMEN on the radio, I was intrigued. I also had heard "TOO HOT" which makes you curious....After getting the CD, I love to play it over & over. It's a very diverse mix of good/bad & dirty! LOVE IT! I think my favorite at this moment is "NEW ORLEANS". Play it loud!

Over the years, there have only been a small handful of bands that have released three consecutive #1 albums; Van Halen, Metallica and U2 to name a few. Disturbed is part of that group. This disc is the band's follow up to "Ten Thousand Fists" and there's no danger of their winning streak being broken any time soon as this is lucky number 3 for the band. If you want only one Queen CD with a solid grouping of Queen's work, this package is the way to go. You not only get their signature songs, but also a great sampling of their best songs that got little radio play like "Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy," "Seven Seas of Rhye," and "Now I'm Here."

All of Queen's albums from their debut up until the 1978 release of "Jazz" are, in my opinion, such excellent pieces of work that any could qualify as a "Greatest Hits" collection. I loved listening to the first two Linkin Park albums with my kids. They loved songs like Breaking the Habit, Nobody's Listening etc. About the only one I would skip was One Step Closer (even though it ruled) because I didn't want them telling each other to shutup. However this has been killed with this album. Can't listen to it with my kids. So what fun is that? If I want to hear the f word I'll buy Green Day or something. The songs are still good but the apparent attempt to get more street cred knocks it down a few notches.

Brandy's last album 'Aphrodisiac' was phenomenal, so my expectations for this album were pretty high. 'Human' completely exceeded my expectations - I absolutely love it!! Her first single 'Right Here (Departed)' is certainly a highlight, but three other tracks that immediately caught my attention and kept me hitting repeat were 'The Definition', 'Piano Man' (not an Elton John remake), and 'Fall'. Overall, this is a solid release from a seasoned professional who doesn't get anywhere near the credit she deserves. As far as I'm concerned, Brandy is worthy of success parallel to that of Beyonce.
