Don't get fooled into this if you want a concert c.d/d.v.d. package...the d.v.d. contains nothing but music, there is no concert footage; "very disapointing"...the trailer does tease you with some future possabilities of footage; that would be nice...if it were just a c.d. I would give 5 stars; but as a package it's not worthy!!!

If I had listened to Il Divo's latest offering before purchasing, I wouldn't have!...the voices, as always, are terrific but these renditions fail to tug at the heart strings...the last cut, Amazing Grace, is the only song I found memorable - the addition of bagpipes is a lovely touch and thankfully, it is performed in English!

I heard one track from this CD on CBC radio and bought it the next day.
I was shocked[at first] at the deterioration of his voice[apparently caused by a virus-he sounds a little like Clint Eastwood],but the beauty of the songs and the brilliant musical arrangements make up for that.
As has been the case in recent years,Tyson's songs have a tinge of sadness,inspired by family estrangements and the gradual disappearance of a life and lifestyle he holds dear,and you don't have to be a westerner to understand that.

It's not necessarily his 16 best songs, but these are arguably his 16 best-known ones. A casual Neil Young listener myself, I found this collection to be a decent, no-frills sampler of his career, similar in scope to the Bachman-Cummings Songbook cd by touching on various solo & group work. It does focus on his prime 70's period, so don't expect any 80's electronica experiments or 90's Pearl Jam collaborations here (although the 80's & 90's are represented by one song each), just the great standards heard every day on classic rock radio. The sound is nicely remastered, and although it does miss many of his classics, it is a pretty good starting point for those getting into the guy's catalogue. ... after a couple of years of waiting! Yes, "Orphan Music" was great, but the new material we fans desperately longed for, here it is at last! Now, Slean does not rush things, and we love her all the more for that: every song is a delicacy, every melody a soothing, every word a shard from the poet's heart.

It is pure Sarah Slean: what you loved in the previous albums you shall find here as well, although one might feel that "The Baroness" is indeed endowed with more maturity than her past efforts. Could it be love's omnipresence (or absence of it...) that made her turn her lyrical subjects and musical ears toward a more somber, solemn, simple source of inspiration?

It's a good primer for those not really familiar with Blue Rodeo, but the hits are not all here. The glaring omissions are Head Over Heels and Rain Down on Me. I still wonder about the strange decision to open with a cover...
Wait for a more comprehensive set -- this disc is skimpy.

To think that someone sat on these tapes all this time.

This set made the hair on the back of my head stand up and misted my eyes too.

In the era that this concert occurred there were some pretty bad concerts with terrible sound.

This set should have been available years ago.

It is one of the finest live recordings by any performer, that I have ever seen or heard.

Although it's almost forty years old, this album sounds so fresh. Mitchell's guitar and piano is wonderfully fluid. And then there's her voice. An instrument so fine, the notes send shivers down the spine. Part of the mystique of this album is the honesty, even fragility of emotions. But there's just as much artistry in Joni Mitchell's Blue. A melancholy beauty. A well-worked gem of an album. The kind of music I remember hearing in kitchens with granola in the cupboard. Or at dawn just as the first birds start to sing. Frost on the grass.
