Don't get fooled into this if you want a concert c.d/d.v.d. package...the d.v.d. contains nothing but music, there is no concert footage; "very disapointing"...the trailer does tease you with some future possabilities of footage; that would be nice...if it were just a c.d. I would give 5 stars; but as a package it's not worthy!!!

If I had listened to Il Divo's latest offering before purchasing, I wouldn't have!...the voices, as always, are terrific but these renditions fail to tug at the heart strings...the last cut, Amazing Grace, is the only song I found memorable - the addition of bagpipes is a lovely touch and thankfully, it is performed in English!

If you're expecting Robert Plant to sound like he did with Jimmy Page, you will be disappointed. This album is not an "energizer". It took me a few "listens" before I got over that. It will definitely appeal to Alison Krauss fans since her country style predominates, and Plant does some background vocals for her. I don't normally like country music or duets very much, but this album is so good, it seems to stand in a category of its own. Although an unlikely pair, Krauss and Plant manage to pull it off. There are no filler songs, they are all good in terms of lyrics, music and vocals. It's not a "blow me away" album, but it's very well done. Ironically The Beatles entitled their Sgt. Pepper follow-up "The Beatles" when it was really a solo effort by four musicians. There are few harmonies on this album, and minmial songwriting collaboration. Also, a good third of the songs are disposable (by Beatle standards) such as Honey Pie and Piggies.

Yet despite the dips in quality, The White Album is an album I play regularly from start to finish.
