Don't get fooled into this if you want a concert c.d/d.v.d. package...the d.v.d. contains nothing but music, there is no concert footage; "very disapointing"...the trailer does tease you with some future possabilities of footage; that would be nice...if it were just a c.d. I would give 5 stars; but as a package it's not worthy!!!

Back in the year 2000, Faith Hill had a big Christmas hit with the song "Where Are You, Christmas", which was from the movie "How The Grinch Stole Christmas". The music video for the song was amazing. Well, this is Faith's first full CD of Christmas music-and it's beautiful. Sorry, I was still looking at the cover. O.k.-this is indeed Faith's latest foray into the crazy, hectic world of yuletide music. Why do I say crazy and hectic? With a sales opportunity window that's not much over 8 weeks long, artists have to be quick to cash in on this year's retail market but also be good enough, and memorable enough, if they want to be part of next year's rotation of festive tunes. A noticeable trend that a lot of artists follow is to make seasonal standards ... Read More:

If you're expecting Robert Plant to sound like he did with Jimmy Page, you will be disappointed. This album is not an "energizer". It took me a few "listens" before I got over that. It will definitely appeal to Alison Krauss fans since her country style predominates, and Plant does some background vocals for her. I don't normally like country music or duets very much, but this album is so good, it seems to stand in a category of its own. Although an unlikely pair, Krauss and Plant manage to pull it off. There are no filler songs, they are all good in terms of lyrics, music and vocals. It's not a "blow me away" album, but it's very well done. To be fully appreciated, I would recommend playing this album loud with headphones on or in a small space. ... Read More:

I have just about everything Emmylou has ever done and it's all great. She has always had the best musicians, production and of course her beautiful voice which has aged like a priceless wine. Emmylou can do no wrong, ever the consummate professional.

OK, it IS a bit of a blast from the past but I LOVE the idea of having two women singing duets. We live in Canada. We celebrate life and love. The album is like a giant gift . I so hope Anne Murray will continue for years to come.
Release Date July 27, 2004
I will be honest I wanted Hallelujah off of this album. It is fantastic! However this album is also a great choice for anyone who loves Leonard Cohen's songs. K. D.Lang's voice is of course, phenomenal!

The ever-enduring crooner returns with a collection of stripped-back, simple songs diverging how it feels to be reaching the twilight of life. Yet Van Morrison keeps all the controlled energy of someone who still has something to pass on to the world.
"Keep It Simple" is a mainly bluesy affair. He's returned to the usual mixture of autobiographical fare and the kind of mix of jazz, folk, blues, country and soul that may be chock-full of lyrical cliche but is always lifted by a voice that really hasn't deteriorated much in the last twenty years. Let's face it: the blues wouldn't be the blues without it's lyrical template. It's the way it's sung that matters, and Van is still peerless in this respect.
Husky, slurred, simple yet honest, the album ... Read More:
